Find IP Addresses

Resolve a domain or hostname to its IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. You can also enter an IP address to validate and display it directly.

Domain, hostname or IP address

Enter a domain, hostname or IP address to look up its DNS address records.

What this tool does

This tool resolves A and AAAA records for a domain or hostname and lists the returned IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. If you enter an IP address, it validates and displays that address directly.

How to use the tool

  1. Enter a domain, hostname or IP address. You may also paste an HTTP or HTTPS URL; only its host is used.
  2. Run the lookup and review the normalized target and returned addresses in the results table.
  3. Use Clear before starting a new lookup.

Useful applications

  • Check the IPv4 and IPv6 addresses currently published for a website or service.
  • Confirm whether a host provides both A and AAAA records.
  • Resolve a host while troubleshooting a network issue or preparing technical documentation.

Notes and limitations

  • DNS responses depend on the resolver and its cache and can differ or change over time.
  • The tool queries address records only and does not connect to the submitted host.

Frequently asked questions

Does the lookup always show every IP address for a host?

It lists up to 32 unique A and AAAA addresses returned by the server's DNS resolver. Other resolvers may return a different set.
